As part of the City’s commitment to fiscal and environmental sustainability, the City aims to salvage as much material as possible during construction projects.
- 2025: The City was able to salvage 74% of building materials while deconstructing the former Sheridan Green building, well above the City’s goal of 50%. Items such as doors, shelving, plumbing fixtures, electrical and HVAC equipment, gym equipment, carpeting, and casework were reclaimed by Jeffco and Adams County Public Schools or repurposed for other City projects.
